Cpl Healthcare in partnership with its client's organisation is looking to hire experienced Intensive Care Unit Nurses for a prestigious world renowned hospital. This NHS Trust leads with advances in technology and service developments and regularly participates in local and national research. This Critical Care department accept adult admissions via the Emergency & Theatre Departments, transfers from wards or transfers from other hospitals and is also a major Trauma Centre accepting critical care admission for the region?s Air Ambulance.
The Role:
- ? To ensure that life support equipment, such as ventilators and feeding tubes, functions properly.
- ? To observe the patient's heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress.
- ? Administer IVs/medication and insert catheters as needed.
The Person:
- ? To be a Registered General Nurse, eligible to apply for full NMC registration with 6 months recent Critical Care experience
- ? Be a fluent English speaker with authorisation to work in the UK
- ? To deliver an excellent standard of patient care at all times
- ? To educate and support the patient's family.
- ? Possess excellent communication skills allowing you to liaise with members of the multi disciplinary team including the patient's physicians to ensure total care is given.
- ? Guide and mentor junior members of staff and nursing assistants who work within the unit.
